Those Wrought Iron Balusters are Going to Look Beautiful!
Now comes the fun and easy part of your new beautiful wrought iron stair baluster installation. This step includes cutting and measuring the wrought iron stair balusters and gluing the wrought iron stair balusters into the stair handrail.
- After confirming the layout (making sure the spacing is no further than 4 1/2" apart) drill any necessary additional holes to accomodate wrought iron stair balusters.
- slide the top of the wroght iron stair baluster into the stair handrail, rest against the cap, mark level with cap, and then cut just about 1/8" the mark.
- Modify any wrought iron stair bluster shoe if necessary for fit.
- Place the wrought iron stair shoes onto the wrought iron stair baluster.
- Inject epoxy glue into both upper and lower holes on the stair handrail and stair cap.
- Slide the upper end of the wrought iron stair baluster into the stair handrail and slide the wrought iron stair baluster back down into the stair cap, spread epoxy at the base of the wrought iron stair baluster to secure the shoe.
- Allow the epoxy to cure 24 hours before touching the wroght iron stair balusters.
